Mama's radiation therapy at Cebu Doctor's University Hospital

I have wanted to document the radiation therapy of mama but I was not allowed to get inside the treatment area until July 4, 2011. I accompanied mama this time so that I can also talk with the doctor about the progress of her therapy. But the doctor just got back to his clinic from a vacation and was a little busy reading X-ray and CT scan results of patients.


I asked one of the in-charge of the radiation if I can get some pictures of Mama even for once and luckily she agreed. I was only allowed to take pictures after the therapy.

Mama is having another round of radiation, this time 20 days radiation therapy for her stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. The radiation is focused on her bone cancer as doctor said, radiation is not advisable for her lung cancer as radiation cannot reach also this area. Mama's breast cancer has metastasized to her both lungs now and to both of her chest bones.

After each radiation, we will then go to the hospital's canteen to eat something. Mama gets nausea and wanted to have something to eat every after each therapy.
